Anger Management means to Watch Your Mouth
As young children we were taught to watch our mouth. However those three words are too often forgot in the midst of anger. Making quick degrading comments of your colleague will not give you the upper hand in the disagreement. It will be very bad for your reputation. You have probably noticed our mouths can get us in plenty of trouble in a very short time.
Anger management is valuable in handling a dispute without creating an unpleasantness about your behavior. Notice the difference in co-worker's behavior once you decide to watch your tempter in public places. Practicing anger management will cause others to notice changes in your behavior.
Practice Humility with Anger Management
When you are in a situation that may be argumentative or a disagreement is taking place your first reaction should be to take a moment to carefully consider what you are going to say. Good parents do not show outvbursts in front of their children if a situation has irritated them because they would like their children to be civilized. There are a number of consequences for showing hostility towards others. You should constantly consider these consequences when practicing anger managment.
Attacking a co-worker verbally, physically, or emotionally could result in legal action against you. Is there a reason that most of our arguments centered around personal attacks on the other person? It may be because Our egos take control of the whole situation then we allow ourselves to fall victim to naive behaviors. Controlling your ego is an anger management practice that is vital to dealing with others and constructive arguments.
When you develop anger management skills they can lead to a more fulfilling life as you begin to practice them. An innapropriate yell or furious outburst can have an adverse affect on your life, relationships with others both professional and personal. The stakes are high and therefore anger management is important to you. Handle all confrontations with complete objectivity if possible because logical reasoning can save you your job and your freindships. That is what anger management is all about.
